There are various child charity organizations who work for providing help and support to underprivileged children in India. These organizations derive fund from various firms and transfer them to these children. They provide food, shelter, medical assistance and even primary education.
One can sponsor a child in India helping the child to enjoy his childhood rights. Sponsoring a child does not require a big budget. You can sponsor the meal of a child, medical assistance or education of a child for a particular period as per the budget you can offer.

Education is the best tool to unlock the vicious and self-perpetuating cycle of hunger and poverty. By providing school meals for the underprivileged children we have to promote and encourage education among them.
As you will understand, this is a tremendous task and I know one NGO in India which is doing almost similar work. I think they are feeding almost 1 million underprivileged children everyday, through out the country.
